I purchased a Land Rover Defender from Wallis and Son in June 2017 after a couple of months I noticed several problems with it. I called the sales manager and explained and he was very good and had no problem with getting the issues looked at. After nearly a month I went back to Wallis and Son to collect it. (6 hour round trip) neither of the problems were sorted. A recon transferbox was fitted which was 10x worse than the original. It lacked power which it didn’t until they had it back. A clunk was still happening when reversing and a the engine misfire also wasn’t fixed. After many emails and phone calls I decided to give up with them. All I ever got was please bring it back and we will rectify any faults. Being 6 hours away it wasn’t that easy. I think the managing director is a genuine guy but maybe he could try a bit harder to help resolve issues with the least amount of disruption to the customer. My experience with Wallis and Son wasn’t great! However I did learn that shopping locally Is a Better idea !

Many thanks to Brian and the team for arranging the hire of the DB9 at short notice in February. Despite the weather we very much enjoyed driving around in that fabulous car and the service provided by Wallis and Son was exceptional. We hope she has been cleaned and is looking lovely again. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

The Wallis and Son building consists of a garage (car hire and sale, luxury hire, MOT/Service), an Off License (convenience store) and some offices. I'm a regular at the garage and the store. *The Store has a fine selection of the basics (and a bit over) that you'd need to cook quite varied meals. It offers the basics [egg, bread, cheese, bacon, crisps], a wide array of tins, some frozen meals, bagged snacks (sweet and savoury) and a decent array of alcohol. The highlight is a very strong selection of American imported goods. Miss your Cheetos? Fancy a pop tart? Crave a Krafts Mac and Cheese? This is where you'd find them - a stones throw from Cambridge. * The Garage is powered by lovely, honest people who make the effort to speak your language without being condescending. The service they provide to both humans and cars is unparalleled. There's a reason why we always come back.
